Crookham Rovers U23s dominate with 7-0 victory over Curley Park
Crookham Rovers U23s extended their winning streak to four matches with an impressive 7-0 win over Curley Park in front of a home crowd with Kial Elliott making his debut as a versatile presence in both defence and midfield.
The team showcased their attacking strength, with Harry Barber opening the scoring early on, followed by Jamie Lavender and another from Barber to put the Rovers firmly in control. Zach Hansell added his name to the scoresheet before the break, making it 4-0 by half-time.
The second half saw Crookham’s captain, Thomas King, stepping in as goalkeeper, allowing stand-in keeper, Louis Matravers to play out on the pitch
Hansell struck again shortly after the restart, while Kyle Duffin netted a brace, completing the 7-0 rout. Duffin's best came from an intricate move through the midfield, beginning with a throw in Rovers' own half.
Manager Andrew Barber praised the team's spirit and consistency, saying, “The lads are playing with real confidence and cohesion, and it’s showing in the results. Every player put in a shift today, and it’s great to see new faces like Kial Elliott slotting in seamlessly.”
This win takes Crookham Rovers U23s to third pace in the table.
