The Football Association has a defined coaching pathway, aimed at people who want to coach as a volunteer at community club level or aspire to make football coaching a career.
There is no need to have prior playing experience or expert knowledge to become a coach or football volunteer and create an impact.

England Football Learning exists to assist and support anyone eager to contribute to football delivery. It offers support, guidance, and advice to help you understand the game and discover a role that suits you perfectly.
1. EE Playmaker by England Football
This is a free online entry-level football course perfect for anyone interested in taking a more active role in grassroots football. There are five modules in total, and you don’t need any previous football experience or qualifications before signing up.
2. Introduction to Coaching Football
The Introduction to Football Coaching is an online course is for anyone looking to lead a grassroots football team. All Crookham Rovers coaches and managers are required to have this qualification (or the old FA Level 1 Coaching Football qualification).
3. UEFA C Licence
The UEFA C Licence course is for coaches looking to develop skills in helping players improve and fall in love with the game, and has replaced The FA Level 2 in Coaching Football.
